This game was pure madness! I stumbled across it on an old SNES emulator we had on my PC in high school. Fell in love with it from day one. I can't remember if I ever beat it or not. I think I graduated before I had a chance to get around to the last couple of stages. It was a beautiful classic. Probably one of the best games ever. It was built in classic Final Fantasy gameplay, travelling with companions, each with a specific set of skills useful during different stages of the game. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't played it yet!
