Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has been on my top five RPG's of all time list since my first play through. I remember clearly when I began playing it seeing as I played almost continuously from the time I got it until I finished it. My daily routine consisted of School, Knights of the Old Republic, Sleep. The idea of BEING a Jedi is phenomenal and they executed it flawlessly. My Only criticisms of the game were the limited nature of it's physical character creation. You have a set number of portraits to choose from and your class is a deciding factor of your battle attire. Aside from that insignificant detail, you have the ability to upgrade skills, as well as character attributes. As you adventure through the game, you have the ability to obtain multiple lightsabers and have a customization option that has only been beaten by the games sequel. Players choose between single bladed, dual wielding, or a lightsaber staff (made popular by Darth Maul). The game contains an extraordinary twist and an attention grabbing story. There are literally hundreds of potential side quests you can choose to do, and best of all, they affect your alignment. You actually have the option of drifting between the light side and the dark side of the force. If you are into RPG's I strongly recommend buying this game and never selling it. Upon finishing it, you could not complain about a thing.
